In Year 2 this week, the children have been learning how to use conjunctions to join ideas and have practised writing different types of sentences. They’ve been developing their writing skills by thinking carefully about how to make their sentences clear and interesting. In Reading lessons, they have been working together to visualise the text, creating a freeze-frame of a part of the story. 

In maths, we’ve started a new topic using our Power Maths scheme and the children have really enjoyed this new way of learning. During our Enquiry lessons, they compared life in 1666 with life today, exploring how things have changed over time.
