We were excited to start our horse riding sessions again this week. We spent time familiarising ourselves with the centre and walking the horses around a course. 

On our way back from horse riding we saw a group of deer  in a field which reminded us of our enquiry into the Stone Age which we have begun by reading Stone Age Boy. We have been thinking about what we already know about the Stone Age and which rocks they might have used for their tools.

For cooking this week, we made Hunter-Gatherer fruit pots. We diced apples and pears and mixed them with grapes and blackberries. These are the seasonal fruits that people in the Stone Age would have been able to pick and collect.
