This week in English, Year 5 have been exploring characters’ inner thoughts and feelings. Using a scene from Diver’s Daughter, the children stepped into the shoes of different characters to imagine what they might be thinking and feeling. They brought their characters to life through role-play, using facial expressions, body language and actions to communicate emotions without always needing words.

In Computing, Year 5 have been developing their coding skills using Scratch. This week, they focused on programming sprites to speak and explored how to animate their names by adding movement and exciting effects.
