This week in Yr1 we have had our photos taken in our brand-new school jumpers.  We all looked super smart and smiled for the camera. 

We continued looking at our baby photos and talked about how we have grown since we were born.          In the past, we were a baby. In the present day, we are a child and in the future we hope to grow up to be teenagers and then adults and maybe even become elderly.

Building on our Wk4 History lesson . . .   We ordered ourselves from our baby photos from the past to our school photo, which is in the present. We also labelled our pictures working all together as a class at the same time. Now we are in Yr1, we need to focus, showing active listening. Most of us can now sit like a STAR!

In 'Power Maths' we made 5 and then numbers from 6 to 10. There was only one problem that some of us found hard. When we built the other numbers to ten . . . Mrs Frank had to be able to see the five - 5, so that she could count on from it. We had a lot of practise and some of us tried to talk to our partners to help them but some of us were only able to make numbers to eight–8.  We need to try again on Monday!
