Wk ending 26/06/26

This week, Year 5 have been getting creative by producing their own surrealist artwork inspired by Salvador Dalí's famous melting clocks. Using watercolours, the children explored colour, shape and imagination to create some fantastic pieces. In Reading, they considered alternative endings to The Highwayman, thinking carefully about how changing just one event could alter the story. Working collaboratively in groups, the children took on the roles of different characters and shared some imaginative and thoughtful ideas. There was also great excitement this week as the children visited their new classrooms and met their teachers, helping them feel prepared and enthusiastic for the start of the new school year in September!
