Wk ending 19/06/26

What a BUSY week! We haven't stopped!

We spent some time this week, producing our art, based on the  Takehito Miyatake. We tried to replicate his use of colour, by creating art which uses neon colours and mixing them with pictures we had drawn, inspired by nature. We had to use chalk pens, which were not very easy to use but they came out really well.

Thenl on Wednesday, we walked to Chantry library, where we met Wendy, who showed us all around the library. It was a really lively place, with toys as well as books, and even a cafe! And you didn't have to be quiet! She showed us where we could get books from, and some of us, who had a library card were able to get out a book.
While we were there, the community policeman, PC Ferguson, was there and he let us have a look at his police car. He showed us the lights and the siren, and even let some of us go inside and set it off! After visiting the library, we were able to go to the local park and played some games there. It was a really exciting morning, which we then used to write a new poem, all about the sounds we heard there!

With just 4 weeks until the end of term, we have another busy week ahead. We will be meeting our new teachers this week and our new classes. Please make sure we come to school every day with a sun hat, a water bottle and wearing sun cream.
