Wk ending 19/06/26
Last week was another busy one in Year 6 as the children completed and handed in their final pieces of writing for their end of Key Stage 2 writing portfolios. These pieces brought together the wide range of writing skills they have developed since September and gave the children a chance to showcase just how much progress they have made across the year. We were incredibly proud of the effort, independence and creativity shown in their final outcomes, and it has been lovely to see the children reflecting on just how far their writing has come since the start of Year 6.
Alongside this, rehearsals for our Year 6 production are now in full swing and the children are working hard to learn songs, practise scenes and bring lots of energy to their performances. Please do encourage your child to continue learning their lines at home and to use the QR codes that were sent home to access the songs and practise them whenever they can. We were also busy making final preparations for our PGL residential, with excitement building throughout the week. By Friday, we were all packed, organised and very excited to head off for our weekend away.
