The children have been busy writers this week, diving into science explanation texts and turning their practical learning into bright, eye‑catching posters. They’ve really enjoyed showing off what they know, and the final products make for a fantastic display of their hard work and attention to detail. It’s been lovely to see them taking such pride in explaining tricky ideas in clear, confident sentences which reflect the skills of able year 6 writers.

We’ve also started getting excited about our end‑of‑year production, The Emoji Musical. Next week we’ll be holding informal auditions, so the children can try out for performing roles—or, if they prefer, take on one of the many technical jobs (music, lighting, props and scenery) that help bring a show to life. There’s something for everyone, and the buzz has already begun. Information about tickets will be shared very soon, so keep an eye out.
