Year 5 had a fantastic day exploring the Tower of London, where they learnt many fascinating facts about this historic landmark. During their visit, they enjoyed spotting some of London's most famous sights, including Tower Bridge, The Shard, The Gherkin and HMS Belfast. The children were particularly interested in learning about the Tower's famous ravens and discovering the legends surrounding them. They also had the opportunity to see the Crown Jewels, learn about the prisoners who were once held in the Tower, and hear about some daring escape attempts. The pupils were engaged, curious and enthusiastic throughout the day, and we were extremely impressed by their excellent behaviour, which was a credit to the school.
