This week we have continued reading 'Someone Swallowed Stanley'. We know that the rubbish people throw on the floor can end up in our seas and oceans which can harm the animals that live there. We decided to make posters that tell everyone what we should do with our rubbish and why. We then went on a litter pick around our school to ensure we are keeping our environment clean and tidy. In the story, Stanley is a plastic bag but gets made into a kite after he keeps getting eaten by animals.  We decided to recycle plastic bags by turning them into kites and testing how well they could fly on the playground.

We followed a recipe to make a batch of salt dough, each taking a turn to add ingredients and mix it together. When the dough had reached the perfect consistency, we each had a piece to create our favourite sea animals! We carefully moulded our dough into crabs, sharks, whales and fish. It took a couple of days to dry then we painted them!
