This week we went to the hall and became Mighty Oak Trees. Our lesson was all about 'Eye Contact'. We were able to stand tall and be present. We read the room – to the right/left and in front of us. We then used each other as the audience saying, "I am the Mighty Oak."
Nicky Brown also came and took us for a session in our classroom and was very proud that we were all able to show good confidence when speaking to each other and aloud. We used hand gestures and described pictures to each other. We talked about speaking to one, a few and to many.
In Maths we have been learning about 'Measurement' and have been measuring length and height, using non-standard and standard measures. We had practical independent starters for our lessons and used rulers to measure objects using centimetres - cm.
We have all had a great start back to school and have been remembering how to be a STAR Learner and use our FISH qualities when learning and playing with our peers.
