In Reception this week we have been learning about the story of Jack and the beanstalk. We enjoyed retelling the story through small world play, creating our favourite characters and making some magic beans using oil pastels and water colours. 

Last week we planted sunflower seeds and every day we have been giving them water and checking to see if they have started to grow. We are excited to plant these outside and watch how tall they get. 

This week some magic beans arrived in our classroom. We have planted them in freezer bags using wet cotton wool and we hope giant beanstalks appear!
