We have come to the end of another busy week in reception! 

We have been practising our scissor skills and how we can use them safely to create some funky hair on the characters we created. We were kindly given some new costumes for our role play area to dress up which has inspired some fantastic writing. 

As the weather has warmed up, we have been outside as much as we can. We have been learning about colour mixing and decided to crush the chalk with water to create our own paint in primary and secondary colours. 

We collected flowers and leaves from our garden to make potions in the mud kitchen, developing our oracy skills when talking in full sentence about the magic spells our potions can do. 

The large climbing frame has helped our confidence in gross motor skills to grow, being able to climb, balance and jump, landing safely.
