Wk ending 6/2/26

This week in My Happy Mind, Year 6 have been exploring the Appreciate module, with a particular focus on gratitude and the powerful impact it can have on our wellbeing. Pupils have been learning that gratitude can be directed towards three key areas: recognising their own strengths, appreciating other people, and valuing the experiences that shape their lives. Through discussion and reflection, pupils have begun to understand that gratitude is not just about saying thank you, but about actively noticing the positive things around them and within themselves.

By practising gratitude regularly, pupils are becoming more aware of their thoughts and emotions, and learning how this simple shift in focus can support positive mental health. They have reflected on moments of kindness, personal achievements and meaningful experiences, helping them to build a stronger sense of self-belief and connection with others. Here are some of their recent thoughts and thanks, which reflect their growing ability to pause, reflect and truly appreciate the world around them.
