Year 5 have been exploring how artists represent city skylines, looking closely at the shapes and structures that make London and Paris so distinctive. Inspired by these famous cities, the children studied how line, form, and perspective can bring a skyline to life. They then experimented with oil pastels, learning how to blend colours smoothly and use contrast to create atmosphere and depth in their own skyline artwork. The results have been vibrant, imaginative pieces that showcase both skill and creativity.
I think you will agree that the end result is truly stunning!
