🐦 Winter Wildlife Learning Adventure
This week, the children have been exploring how different animals survive the winter months, discovering whether they hibernate or migrate when the weather turns cold. They were especially fascinated by birds and discussed where many species travel during winter, as well as how some birds remain here in the United Kingdom.
We talked about birds such as the robin and the blackbird, which stay throughout the winter and must work hard to find enough food when natural sources become scarce. To support them, the children created their own bird feeders and placed them around the forest area, helping to ensure our local birds don’t go hungry during the chilly winter season.
It was a wonderful hands-on experience that combined creativity, care for nature, and a deeper understanding of the wildlife around us.
