Autumn Term
This term in Reception, we have been exploring the signs of autumn. The children have enjoyed going outside to observe the changing colours of the leaves
and noticing how the world around us transforms during this season.

📚 In English, we have been reading traditional tales and learning all about storytelling. To support our learning, we have enjoyed some brilliant books, including Leaf Man and The Squirrels Who Squabble. These stories have helped us think about characters, events, and how to retell stories in our own words.
🔢 In Maths, we have been focusing on one more and one less, building our number sense and practising counting carefully.
💛 We have also been learning about our emotions and feelings, discussing how we feel and ways to express ourselves positively.
🧥 In life skills, the children have been practising independence by learning how to zip up their coats all by themselves—a very important skill!
📸 It has been a busy and exciting term in Reception, full of curiosity, creativity and fun. We look forward to continuing our learning and adventures next term!
