This term so far, the children have been diving into an exciting historical adventure as we explore our enquiry question:

Through stories, role-play and hands-on activities, our learners have been discovering what life was really like during the time of the Vikings.

🛡️ Discovering the Vikings

We have found out who the Vikings were, where they came from, and how they travelled across the seas. The children have explored Viking homes, clothing, food, beliefs and their reputation as both fierce warriors and skilled explorers. We have had lots of lively discussions about whether the Vikings should be remembered more for their invasions—or their adventurous spirit!

✨ Viking Day Celebration

One of the highlights of the term was our Viking Day. The children arrived dressed as Vikings—complete with cloaks and helmets—and enjoyed a day filled with themed activities. We finished with a Viking-style banquet where we shared food, stories and songs. It was a brilliant way to bring history to life and the children looked fantastic!
