Wk ending 12/12/25
Year 6 have enjoyed a busy week. In literacy, we finished writing letters to William from our class novel, Goodnight Mister Tom. In maths, our focus has been on simplifying and ordering fractions. As we move towards the festive period, the children have continued to show a positive attitude to their learning despite a very busy time of year. We have been balancing focus in class with opportunities to enjoy the build-up to Christmas together.
We were delighted to welcome so many parents and carers into school for our recent class share. It was wonderful to see such strong support, and the children were incredibly proud to share their work. To link with our World War Two learning, we created blackout blind window calendars, inspired by wartime blackouts. The children worked with real care and enthusiasm, and it was lovely to share the finished pieces together. Some photos of the finished calendars are attached below.
