This Week in Year 2/3 – We have been Space Explorers!
Our Learning Journey
This week, our class has been travelling through space—through our imaginations! We learned all about Neil Armstrong and the amazing Apollo 11 mission. The children were fascinated to discover how Armstrong became the first person to walk on the moon, saying the famous words: “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
Our Book of the Week
We enjoyed reading Neil Armstrong – Little People, Big Dreams. The children used the book to help their writing, describing key events and using exciting vocabulary to explain Armstrong’s achievements.
Enquiry Question
Our big question this week was: Exploration or invasion? The children shared fantastic ideas, thinking carefully about discovery, curiosity, science, and how astronauts explore new worlds.
