Summer 2026

Our final term is here... We have all been making great progress in 1MF and have grown in our learning and ourselves. This term we are taking on 'Mighty Oak Training' and our focus is the Creative Arts – The Enquiry Question for the Summer Term is: 'How do we know what comes next in a pattern?'

DT: Design and make a meal using seasonal produce.  We have chosen 'Vegetable Kebab Rainbow Wraps’. 

DT: Immersive – Where do vegetables come from? Seasonal/not (link to science).                                                                                                                                                  Create a seasonal vegetable calendar.  Make a list of vegetables that would be good in a ‘rainbow wrap’. Explain and model skills needed to create our ‘rainbow wrap’. 

DT: Design: Children design their own ‘Rainbow Wrap’ thinking about the seasonal produce they might use.                                                                                                           Make: Children make the ‘rainbow wrap’ filling, assemble their wrap and taste it.                                                                                                                                                       Evaluate: Children discuss their wraps – What they liked/didn’t like? How could they improve it?
