On Tuesday 22nd September 2026 the Reading Ambassadors visited Dial Lane Bookshop in Ipswich. They browsed all of the wonderful children's books and were helped by Andrew and Karen to choose some really lovely books. Children in school also wrote down books they would like for the library on post it note for the Reading Ambassadors to buy.

This trip was made possible because Mrs Dunn contacted The Siobhan Dowd Trust, who fund schools to buy books for the children - we were lucky enough to get a grant of £500, Dial Lane also gave us a very big discount, so we could buy even more books!  Thank you Dial Lane!

The Siobhan Dowd Trust works to give young people the opportunity to read and enjoy literature. It is the money earned through royalties and foreign sales of Siobhan’s books that allows the trust to support deserving projects.
