Wk Ending 23/10/26

This week in Year 2, we have continued our learning about the Great Fire of London! In English, the children have been writing their own diary entries, imagining what it would have been like to experience the events of the fire in 1666. In Art, we created some beautiful Great Fire of London artwork inspired by the artist Jan Griffier the Elder. The children explored different chalk techniques, including blending, smudging and layering, to create colourful flames, smoky skies and intricate details. In Maths, we have been exploring tens and ones on a number line to develop our understanding of place value. Finally, in DT, the children had great fun creating their own puppet shows to reenact the events of the Great Fire of London. It has been another fantastic week of learning in Year 2!
