Year 2 have had a busy week of learning! We continued exploring the Great Fire of London through a range of immersive activities. The children investigated the events of the fire and explored the artwork of Jan Griffier the Elder, discussing what they could see and how he used colour and detail to represent the fire.

In English, we used Colourful Semantics to help us orally rehearse and create Great Fire of London-themed sentences. In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of place value by partitioning numbers to 100 into tens and ones.
