Year 5 have had a fantastic week of discovery! In preparation for our new Science topic, Space, we explored everything we already know, what we think we know, and what we would like to find out about our fascinating universe. We have also been introduced to the incredible explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, learning about his life, his remarkable expeditions and the legacy he left behind. We considered why Shackleton is still remembered today and what made his story so extraordinary. This has set the scene perfectly for next week, when we will begin exploring our exciting new text, Shackleton’s Journey.
