Another exciting week for us in Reception! We have been learning about ourselves and our family. We created a house and drew our families inside. 

In our outdoor area we made houses using the wooden blocks, tyres and crates. This helped to develop our skills communicating and working as a team. 

We are continuing to practise our fine motor control by using scissors and playdough which is helping us to hold our pencil correctly and write our names. 

We have been experimenting on our creative table using glue, string, and crayons. 

On Friday something new and exciting came to our classroom...a light box! We put the different coloured shapes on top and made pictures, patterns and identified the names of the shapes.
