WOW! What a scorcher!
We have survived the hottest June on record this week! And it has been firey! But amongst the hot days, we have still managed to get lots of work done!
We have been reading Little Red Riding Hood this week, but lots of different versions- including 2 where she takes matters into her own hands and saves herself. One is a classic from Roald Dahl! We have started to write our own diary entries this week, from the point of view of Little Red Riding Hood. We will get these finished next week.
In maths, some of us are learning to tell the time. We have been working on minutes past and to, from an analogue clock. If you have time to help us with this, please do, as this is very tricky!
We had some PSHE this week, which looked at puberty and how babies are made. We spoke about any worries we may have and encouraged the children to speak to adults at home.
Finally, year 4 have been busy trying to grow some tomato plants. We have a mini-competition between each class to see whose plants will grow the biggest, and get the most tomatoes. Currently 4EW are winning, but a lot can still happen! Watch this space!
