Year 5 have been having lots of fun learning about surrealism in art by exploring the work of the famous artist René Magritte. They looked closely at one of his most well-known paintings featuring a giant eye and talked about how surrealist artists use their imagination to create unusual and thought-provoking artwork. Using Magritte's style as inspiration, the children created their own eye paintings, filling them with their own imaginative ideas and creative touches. We were so impressed with their fantastic artwork and the wonderful ideas they brought to life!

Alongside their artwork, Year 5 completed their end-of-term assessments this week, showing all they have learned this term. We are very proud of every child for rising to the challenge and remaining focused and resilient throughout.
