Give them a round of applause – year 6 survived another week of tests! It can feel like running a marathon, but the preparation for SATs is proving that hard work makes heroes, with massive progress in children’s confidence and skills: things that stand them in excellent stead as they ready themselves for secondary school. We have made sure to find some social, mindful, uplifting opportunities throughout the week too, getting outdoors for calm moments in the sunshine, sharing breaktime with KS1, and enjoying some field games on Friday. Hopefully the sunshine continues to lift our spirits over the next couple of weeks...
On Wednesday, we had a really informative visit from the '2 Johns' as part of our learning about online safety, which sparked many insightful conversations. It also provided a lovely link to our RE work on ethics, philosophy and principles. Thank you to the parents who joined us for the Banksy-inspired stencil printing session, where we explored online safety through art. Take a look at some of our prints – can you work out the message behind the motif?
