Wk ending 6/3/26

Year 6 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day on Thursday. It was lovely to welcome parents into school and share in the excitement of the day. The children took part in a lively The Twits themed quiz, where they listened to dramatic readings from the story and worked in teams to answer questions about Roald Dahl’s humour and characters. The hall was full of laughter as pupils discussed the disgusting details of Mr Twit’s beard and the mischievous tricks played between the Twits.

World Book Day was also a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic reading efforts we have been seeing in Year 6. We are incredibly proud of the many pupils who have increased the number of reads they are completing at home and are showing real commitment to developing their reading habits. It is wonderful to see such enthusiasm for books growing across the year group. Each pupil was able to take a book home to keep, and we hope this continues to inspire even more reading at home. Keep it up, Year 6!
