🥝 Learning About Healthy Fruits and Vegetables

This week, the children have been learning all about healthy fruits and vegetables and why it is important to include them in our daily diet. We enjoyed reading Oliver’s Fruit Salad, which helped us explore a wide variety of fruits and sparked lots of discussion about where they grow and how they help our bodies stay strong and healthy.

The children had the opportunity to look closely at different types of fruit and vegetables, using their senses to describe colours, textures and smells. To finish our learning, we created our own delicious fruit kebabs using honeydew melon, orange, apple, strawberry and banana. The children showed great independence as they selected their fruit, practised their cutting skills, and built their colourful kebabs.

It was a wonderful hands‑on experience that encouraged healthy choices, curiosity and confidence in trying new foods.
