Wk ending 19/12/25

This week, Year 6 have enjoyed plenty of festive fun. We began the week by learning about traditional Christmas carols. The children listened to a range of songs, researched their origins and meanings, and created some beautiful presentations to share the messages behind them with their peers. Some pupils even went home and learnt the carols themselves, which was very impressive.

The children have also been getting creative by designing and making their own Christmas cards to give to friends and family. They finally discovered the ending to Goodnight Mister Tom, which they have been studying throughout the term and there were lots of happy and sad tears all round.

We finished the week with a Christmas party and quiz, where the children enjoyed learning about new music, traditions, and indulged in some classic Christmas trivia.

Year 6 have worked incredibly hard this term and we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026.
