Wet and Rainy Winter Adventures!

January and February have brought plenty of wet and wintry weather and the children have absolutely loved embracing it during their time in the forest. As part of our learning about different climates, we have been exploring how winter in the UK can be very cold, rainy and muddy.

Wearing their muddy‑puddle suits, the children got fully involved in the experience—splashing in puddles, feeling the rain and noticing how the environment changes when the weather is wet. These hands‑on adventures have helped them build a real understanding of seasonal weather while developing confidence, curiosity and a love of the outdoors.
