This week in year 6, the children have been working incredibly hard. We have been practising some mock SATs papers and all of the children have given these their best shot. They should be very proud of themselves.

In-between taking assessments, the children were able to make their wartime rationing recipe – carrot cookies! They got mixed reviews from the children, but each group were able to adapt the recipe based on the wartime ingredients that were available.

The children have also been making great progress with their non-chronological reports. They have planned their paragraphs, written up their final draft and have mapped out what their double page spreads will look like. We can’t wait to get into designing and finishing these next week.....
